All children are uniquely individual, with specific gifts and learning edges. The vision of Heartfire Kids creates enrichment activities for play, creativity, art, problem-solving and inter-relational dynamics to be practiced with exploration, with all of the kids valued in their uniqueness.
Inclusion, diversity, mindfulness, safety, communication and being curious are the foundation of all programs and camps offered. With skilled supervision, the children are encouraged through play and discovery.
Heartfire Kids practices and implements an anti-racist, gender inclusive and socially conscious value system.
OUR SPACE
Located centrally on Bainbridge Island, we will have use of a beautiful 2 acre property that includes a cottage classroom, a large fenced outdoor play area, a 1 acre wooded area, with a large open lawn for outdoor games.
With all of these unique spaces, the children will explore nature, create, play games, grow a garden, and make their own play-games.

I am Sonya Hubbard, I am the founder, teacher and facilitator at Heartfire Kids. I am so excited to offer our community inclusive, artistic, creative, play-based and whole-child centered camps and classes!
After 10 years of teaching pre-k on Bainbridge Island, and 25 years of working with children and families, I look forward to providing excellent care and dynamic offerings for multi-age kids
